Fatcula (2016) takes us to a mystical beauty surgery clinic, which is built next to a sports club and threatens to ruin the club’s owner. What is going on in this clinic? The solution seems to be inside a bottle of “Fat Burner”.

Fatcula is an adaption of the Dracula story. Although, instead of blood, this vampire lives on fat. To feed his desires he establishes a beauty clinic. How did you come up with the concept?

I was attending group trainings and the gym for years. Once, I also took part in an event called “Fitness Explosion”, where over 500 people came together and lifted the barbell to the rhythm of the music. In that sweaty and strange environment, the scenario first began to sprout.

Martinus Klemet plays with satire and tries to find comical elements from everyday life. He likes to mix reality with fantasy. At the moment he’s working on the short Face Recognition, which speaks about face-recognition technology and alcohol abuse.
